Having spent the week traveling around yorkshire visiting, photographing and fly posting contact details about my blog ( and some very interesting experiences!) i have begun to look beyond the excitement and stimulation of reading the stories, experiences and contact details left behind on the doors. I now beginning to look at the doors as Paintings created by many! multi layers of human assertions and marks continually changing and re evolving. Similar to historic manuscripts that have been continually rubbed out and re used in a process of palimpsest. Indeed the more i reflect on my experiences i have begun to see how this form of mark making and contact is as primal as pre historic cave painting.

Graffiti in Public Toilets - The Writing Is On The Wall

Welcome to my blog. This is a personal project documenting an age old method of contact and communication, which is being overtaken by things like Twitter and Facebook.

My aim is to create a collection of marks, images, opinions and comments about what you see in these public spaces, how it makes you feel, and any experiences that you may wish to share.

I am trying to collect reactions from as many people as I possibly can. Let me know what you think about graffiti in public toilets. I don't mind what you say, I am interested in your images, views and opinions. I am not easily shocked and urge you to be as honest as possible.

I am not sure where this project is going, I might chose to make it public; but nobody will ever know who you are and no records will be kept.

I will be posting my own collected images and will aim to respond and reply to anyone who takes the time to contribute to my blog.
